It’s a beautiful day for Segway here in Palm Beach today. Even with the storm brewing in the Atlantic, we have been blessed with sunshine all day. I guess we will have to wait and see over the next few days if any of the hurricanes are headed toward us. In the meantime some new tourist info palm beach, be sure to check out Clematis By Nights if you are in town anytime soon on a Thursday night. It’s a great time for live music, great food, many vendors, and a few drinks.
The new waterfront project in West Palm Beach has was completed at the end of 2010 and provides a beautiful backdrop along the intracoastal waterway. There are public docks that you can use if you would like to grab dinner or walk Clematis Street. There is also a new nightly laser/music show in the waterfront park at the end of Clematis. Very cool.
Of course another must do while visiting Palm Beach is hitting up CityPlace for some great shopping and good eats. City Place located just off of Okeechobee at Rosemary St. is the heart of downtown West Palm Beach. Filled with name brand stores as well as local flavor, CityPlace has something for everyone. Be sure to visit if you can.

Today was another raining day here in Palm Beach and not the best weather for Palm Beach Segway Tours. I think the storms in the Atlantic are starting to affect our weather. I really hope they don’t hit here and continue to bring rain and bad weather to palm beach tourism. On a rainy day here in Palm Beach there is still plenty to do and see. Some great indoor activities would include visiting any of the many museums located here. One of the most fascinating to me is “whitehall” also known as The Flagler Museum. It’s worth checking out if you are in the area.
I wanted to share with you the updated tourist website for the City of West Palm Beach Downtown Business Authority. They have recently taken great strides to improve the website to provide all of us with the most up to date information on local businesses and activities. They also have created an app called wpbgo which will give you current info right to your phone. This is a great website if you are looking for things to do in palm beach.
The weather in Palm Beach today was sporadic to say the least. At one point this afternoon the rain was coming down so hard we thought for sure the afternoon tour was going to be canceled. We do tour in the rain, but sometimes the summer rain in Florida is just too much. Good news for us today…..and for our guests was that the rain stopped around 3:30 p.m. The 4:00 pm tour went off without a hitch. We had 3 guests in from New York and everyone had a great time.
